Where it all begins
Welcome to the official HQ for creating remarkable stories. Because all of us have a little bit of remarkable inside.
Hi, I’m Beth, an author and journalist for nearly 25 years. Welcome to my blog, where I’ll be sharing thoughts on finding the remarkable in everyday life—well, at least for the most part. Sometimes we may highlight the not-so-hot or the downright crazy things going on in the world—we can learn a lot about living by knowing what not to do, after all.
I believe we all have a little bit of remarkable inside. Yet it seems so many have lost their way, wandering aimlessly or without hope. Evening newscasts would have believe that we don't have the power to change our own lives, so we wait on the world to fix our lots in life and wonder why everything stays the same.
I say it's time to challenge that thinking—whether that means learning to laugh at ourselves, looking a little closer for the miracles all around us, or digging a little deeper to bring out our best selves.
This is where we'll come together to simmer down a bit. Get a grip on life in an I'm-okay-you're-okay way, even if the biscuits are burned and the dog grabbed the lone rib-eye off the grill.
It's time to get real, again, people. And I mean that in the best possible way, of course. We're the ones the world is waiting for. No one is coming to save us. It's time we work on saving ourselves.
